The Quanah Acme & Pacific Railroad Museum was opened in 1910 for passengers. In the 80's the Historical Society purchased the building and started work on a museum. There are 20 rooms that share the history of Hardeman County. The bottom floor covers Railroad, Pioneer, Quanah Parker and Lane Frost. The top floor has the last curator's room, West Texas Utilities, and the Quanah Cotton Oil Mill.
